The message will direct you where to go for further information or what action to take. Less urgent messages will be sent using the campus e-mail system. Following a warning, the alert system will be used to provide additional messages or an 'all clear' announcement. Test alerts will be sent on a routine basis.
Who will get notified?
All students, faculty, and staff will receive emergency notifications. Messages may be sent using text messages, voice messages, and e-mail. However only those who have provided their cell phone information can be contacted via text messages.

If you are currently charged for each text message, there will be a charge for a text message from the Westfield State University's Emergency Notification System.
