Joshua Hettrick, Ed.D.
Associate Director for Housing
Joshua joined Westfield State as the Assistant Director for Housing in July 2008 and is now the Associate Director for Housing. Prior to his current role, Joshua was at Springfield College as the Assistant Director of Residence Life for four years. He initially arrived at Springfield College in 2002 where he served as a Resident Director for two years while he earned his Master of Psychology degree in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education. He began his career in residence life while a student at Stonehill College where he served as a resident assistant for three years and earned his Bachelor's degree in Communication and Computer Information Systems. Joshua completed his doctoral degree program at Johnson & Wales University in May 2012.
When he is not at work, Joshua enjoys spending as much time as possible with his wife Sabrina, their son Aidan, and their daughter Kaylee. His favorite activities include bowling, golf, video games, wearing the color orange, and not working on his dissertation anymore.
Jennifer Gould, M.B.A.
Associate Director of Residential Life
Jen is the Associate Director of Housing Operations at Westfield State University in Westfield, MA. Jen has been at WSU since 2005 and has served in the roles of Residence Director, Assistant Director for Staff Development and Associate Director of Residential Life before moving into Housing Operations in 2020. Jen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management, then was hired on as a Graduate Assistant at Salem State University where she held the positions of Community Development Specialist and Assistant Resident Director while earning the degree of Master of Business Administration.
When she isn’t working, Jen enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, reading books, and staying active, especially by taking spin classes.
June came to Westfield State University in the fall of 2012 from Gateway Regional High School/ School Based Health Center, where she worked as an Administrative Assistant/Office Manager. June enjoys meeting and help the students, families, and staff here at Westfield State. Each day brings a new and welcoming challenge. When not at work, June enjoys spending time with her husband and their four children, quilting, painting and camping in Maine.
Chris McKenzie Willenbrock, M.S.
Director of Residential Engagement
Chris McKenzie Willenbrock has worked in education for the past twenty years. Originally from Memphis, TN, she began her professional career at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she worked as a Residence Director, Interim Area Coordinator, Selection and Development Specialist, and Employee and Organizational Development Specialist. Following her time at UMass, Chris worked at Colorado State University as the Assistant Director of Residence Life for Selection, Training & Development and the Associate Director of Housing & Dining Services for Workplace Education. After many years in higher education, Chris took a break from working with college students to earn her educator licensure in Moderate Disabilities (PreK-8 and 5-12) and to teach elementary, middle, and high school populations in Springfield, MA. In 2019, Chris was thrilled to return to higher education when she accepted her current role as Director of Residential Engagement at Westfield State University. Chris has a B.A. in Psychology from Rhodes College and an M.S. in Educational Psychology and Research from the University of Memphis. She has also worked as an independent consultant, a course instructor and administrator, and a contributing writer for several publications. In her spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with her family and participating in community theater productions.
Dawn Whitehill, B.A.
Dawn has been at Westfield State University since 2001. Dawn is a lifelong resident of Westfield and an alum of Westfield State University. Dawn handles all of the day-to-day financial operations for both Residential Engagement and Housing Operations. She enjoys the daily interactions with the students and admires the campus community. Dawn is a firm believer that "If you love what you do, you will not work a day in your life!" In her spare time, Dawn is an active member of the Westfield business community.
John Zocco, M.Ed
Interim Assistant Director
John started as a Residence Director at Westfield State University in 2011 and was promoted to Area Coordinator in 2017. John comes to Westfield after spending three years as an Area Coordinator at the University of New England in Biddeford, ME.
John earned his Masters of Education in Student Personnel Administration from Springfield College where he worked in the Residence Life Office at Springfield College. Before Springfield College he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Marketing from Assumption College. In his free time John enjoys working with and learning about new technology and his photography hobby. He also serves as a Leadership Instructor for the Student Leadership Training Program.

Allison Davis, M.Ed.
Residence Director of Dickinson Hall
Ally graduated from Westfield State University in 2015 with her B.A. in political science. While a student at WSU, Ally served on the Student Government Association, was an orientation leader, was active in the Honors program, and was secretary of the student conduct board. Ally completed her Master's of Education in higher education-student affairs at Merrimack College in 2016, where she completed a fellowship in community standards. After graduation, she worked in residence life, student conduct, and Title IX at a small college in Vermont before returning to Westfield State at the start of 2019. In her free time, Ally likes to read, watch Survivor, and travel.
Megan Markland, B. A.
Residence Director of Davis Hall and New Hall
Megan joined the Residential Engagement staff and Westfield State community in January of 2020. After graduating from Mount Holyoke College in 2004, Megan worked in various roles in Residential Life at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Northeastern University, Becker College, and University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She is committed to building communities on the principles of equity, inclusion, and justice. Megan also enjoys writing, studying history, and New England in the fall.
Brendan O'Connor, M.A.
Residence Director of Lammers Hall
Brendan is originally from Tiffin, Ohio. He graduated from Wright State University in 2018 with a B.S. in Statistics. While at Wright State, he served as an Resident Assistant and was a member of the Athletics Pep Band. Most recently, he graduated from Ball State University in May 2020 with his M.A. in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education (SAAHE). While at Ball State, he served as an Assistant Residence Hall Director. In his spare time, Brendan enjoys reading, traveling, and most anything outdoors. He has never been to the Northeastern United States and is eager to explore the area!
Quarantine and Isolation Manager of Lansdowne Place
Kyle McAuliffe was born in raised in Saco, ME where he sepnt his childhood swimming in the lake and picking wild blueberries. He attended the University of Maine where he studied Psychology and Zoology, completing this undergrad in 2013. Later that year he returned for his master’s degree studying Student Development in Higher Education, graduating in 2015. Upon graduating he spent 4 years working in Residence Life at Roger Williams University as a Coordinator of Residence Education. After his time at Roger Williams University, Kyle took a year where he worked with the Penguin team at the Mystic Aquarium before moving to England to pursue a second Masters in Zoo Conservation Biology. In his free time Kyle loves hiking, board games, and working with animals. Kyle is also a huge fan of reality game shows such as survivor and big brother.
